Myofascial Release is a gentle yet deeply effective hands-on therapy designed to release restrictions in the fascia, including trauma and tension that is stored there. Fascia is the web-like connective tissue that connects every cell in the body, including muscles, nerves, organs and bones. Over time, physical injuries, emotional stress, surgeries, and repetitive strain can create traumas or microtraumas that cause the fascia to tighten and harden, creating tremendous pressure, disrupting the natural movement, circulation and flow of energy within the body.
Are you dealing with uncomfortable symptoms like these?
Chronic Pain or Stiffness
Limited Range of Motion
Unexplained Aches or Fatigue
Past Injuries That Never Fully Healed
Tension That Keeps Coming Back, No Matter What You Try
Lymphedema
Myofascial Release is ideal if you’re looking for a gentle and lasting approach that goes beyond surface-level restriction. Rather than trying to force the body to change, this therapy works with the physiology of the body by using sustained, non-hurtful pressure, held for several minutes, to soften and release fascial restrictions. This activates the body’s own self-correcting processes at the cellular level, offering long-term relief and renewed energy flow.
This work is not a typical massage. It is a highly specialized technique that requires extensive training, a deep understanding of the body, and years of ongoing practice. At Eden Place, your session is provided by one of the very few certified practitioners of Myofascial Release, The John F. Barnes Approach (MFR), in all of Palm Beach County. You’re truly in expert hands.
Myofascial Release may help you:
Relieve Chronic Pain and Restore Mobility
Release Emotional and Physical Tension
Support Recovery from Injury or Surgery
Rehydrate Connective Tissue and Improve Circulation, Lymph and Energy Flow
Feel Lighter, Freer, and More at Home in Your Body
Myofascial Release works with the body’s physiology to create deep, lasting change. It’s especially beneficial for those with chronic conditions, old injuries, or anyone who feels like they’ve “tried everything” and still haven’t found relief. The pressure used is never aggressive or forceful. It meets your body with gentleness and respect.
This approach is particularly supportive for individuals who’ve experienced deep tissue work to be too intense or counterproductive. In fact, deep tissue techniques try to force the fascial system which cannot be forced. Myofascial Release honors your body’s innate intelligence and guides it gently back into alignment, balance, and flow.
